FAQ

HOW DO I BEGIN?

Call today to set up an Introductory flight, in which you will meet your instructor, discuss pertinent flight information and plan your flight, observe and begin learning how to perform a pre-flight inspection, and go fly an airplane!

WHEN CAN I START?

At Horizon, we understand the importance of students being able to train in a timely manner that suits their lifestyle. We will make every effort to get your pilot training underway immediately upon receiving your call. Typical wait time to begin training is 1-2 weeks.

CAN I TRAIN IF I GO TO SCHOOL OR HAVE A JOB?

Many of our students and former students have enrollments in high school, college, or jobs. Students can schedule as much or as little as life permits, but we recommend 2-3 flights per week for ideal progress.

DOES HORIZON OFFER FINANCING?

Yes, we have partnered with Meritize, an industry leader, to provide full financing if students choose to do so. A link can be found on the Rates page of our website, or call for more information.

WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND?

We have a consistent record of student success and satisfaction with our programs, but unlike other training options, Horizon offers full refunds for any balance that has not been applied to a student's training.

HOW MUCH IS A DISCOVERY FLIGHT?

All flights are billed at our normal rates, found on the "Rates" page of our site.  An hour flight is standard for Introductory / Discovery Flights and would range from $225-$235 for aircraft and instructor charges, depending on number of hours purchased.
